It’s Only Just Begun…

We have officially started our search for a childminder. As I said in a previous post, we only need childcare for the times that Hubby and I are both working. This means that as Hubby works shifts, the days and times of the childcare will be different every week. This makes finding a childminder incredibly difficult as most would like to have the same days/hours each week. Using Childcare.co.uk I…

Happy Places

Oooh I’ve never done this before! But I’ve been tagged, so will duly oblige! One of my Twitter/Blogging chums, Mushypea, wants to know where my five Happy Places are! Only 5?! I have to say that my Happy Places have changed since having LP. If you’d asked me this a year ago I would have said – 5:05pm on a Friday, in my car, listening to Scott Mills on Radio…

Perspective

I thought I’d blog about my weekend. Yesterday, Saturday, a good friend of mine, M, came round with her daughter Z. We’ve known each other a few years and got married within 6 months of each other and had our Daughters 3 months apart. Has she had crisps yet?….

We saw a lot of family and a few friends over the Easter weekend and it amazes me how we still get such a wide range of comments and opinions regarding our Daughter’s weaning. Most people that see LP eat are amazed at how she can not only get the food to her mouth, but also bite or suck chunks off and eventually eat whatever it is! They’re even more…

Breastfeeding

After LP was born at home, midwives insisted on visiting daily to make sure everything was going ok. This began on the day she was born when a midwife came over at 3pm to complete LP’s newborn checks on her legs, heart, neck etc. The midwife asked whether I’d fed LP and I said I had, at about 10:30am. The midwife insisted on seeing me feed LP there and then,…
