Honesty in Blogging

I have been writing a new post a day on my blog for quite a while. These have been anything from my thoughts, what we’ve done that day, reminiscing, lists of things or reviews. My blog posts are random, I write about whatever I think about at the time and they’re normally written a few days in advance – I like to have a stockpile of posts that I can…

Bank Holidays and Shift Work

Bank Holidays used to mean something to me. I worked in a bank. The bank was closed on Bank Holidays. I had a nice long weekend. Now that I’m on maternity leave and Hubby works shifts Bank Holidays are irrelevant. To be honest, every day is pretty much the same to us – there is nothing to differentiate weekdays and weekends or each week day from another. Our life revolves…

Post-Baby Weight Loss Journey – Weeks 9/10

Last Monday I didn’t have a weigh-in – our Weight Watchers meeting is closed on Bank Holidays and it was also LP’s Birthday party. Children’s Toys and Cardboard Boxes

It was LP’s Birthday on Wednesday and, like every small child on their Birthday, LP received a huge amount of presents. Many of these presents came in cardboard boxes and inside those cardboard boxes came the actual toy. The actual toy though would be in packaging. Packaging consisting of cable ties, plastic coated wire, sellotape and other assortments of bits and bobs designed to keep the toy in the lovely…

LP’s 2nd Birthday Party

Bank Holiday Monday is traditionally now LP’s Birthday Party. This year was no different. The sun was shining, the BBQ was on – courtesy of Hubby, and we had a really lovely day. LP’s Nanny came, her Grandad (Yar-Yar as she calls him) was unfortunately overseas on business, her Uncle, Auntie an Cousin all came. Also there was her other Grandad on my side and his three children, my brothers…
