As you’ll already know we started potty training just over a week ago. I was apprehensive of potty training in general, didn’t think LP would deal with it very well and thought she was still too little to be using a toilet or even a potty.

When LP became mobile we bought some foam play mats from a local supermarket. They weren’t an investment – they were cheap and would do the job. Since then they have been almost destroyed with use and we were looking to get something similar that would cope with two children playing on it – we needed an investment this time!

This week I had my 29th Birthday. It was pretty much the same as most days although I had presents and cards and LP sang Happy Birthday to me! Because we are in the middle of LP’s potty training I didn’t want to venture too far or do anything ‘big’ with the day so instead we went to a local retail park for a spot of shopping to while away the morning.

Little Man is 5 Months Old

Today is not only my 29th Birthday but it is also the day that Little Man turns 5 months.

I have no idea where the last 5 months have gone. They have zoomed by! Little Man being a teenie baby seems such a distant memory now and yet feels like yesterday. When you’re a parent your whole memory bank is full of all these images and moments that span the whole time since becoming a mother and yet every memory is so fresh, so clear. I am so thankful for those memories – I can almost touch them!

Today is my 29th Birthday.

I don’t think we’ll be doing anything to celebrate. I don’t think I’ll get very many cards or presents either – although Dave has given me my Birthday present early – a Samsung Chromebook. The best present! It is amazing and making blogging so much easier – Dave knows how much this hobby now means to me.
