I have had a busy time recently as well as some time without wifi and so I haven’t linked up to #LittleLoves for a while – but I’m back this week with a few things we’ve been loving:
I’ve read two books recently. The first was Maestra which may be the first book I have ever bought that had an 18 rating! This book was recommended in Glamour magazine as a bit of a 50 Shades of Grey with a good thriller storyline. To be honest, I wasn’t that impressed. The book had some good twists, and everything in it was related to something else that happened somewhere in the book but there was far too much graphic violence that just took away from the story for me.
I also read Three Wishes which was a great book although just so sad in places. It was easy to get into, easy to read and had lots of twists in it too. Another great book by Liane Moriarty.
We are part of this year’s Netflix Stream Team and I have started watching Netflix for the very first time. I have been sucked into Pretty Little Liars – it feels like a grown up Dawsons Creek or OC and I am loving it.
We also watched Goosebumps the movie the other day and it was nice to see Jack Black in a more serious role. It wasn’t our typical kind of movie and more like a grown up Jumanji but we really enjoyed it.
I was driving home from soft play this week, Little Man asleep in the car and With or Without You came on the radio. Tune! Such an awesome song. We drove all the way to Cardiff – from London – to see U2 live and it still gives me goosebumps now thinking about it.
I haven’t worn anything exciting this week apart from my running gear. I’m loving having a running machine at home and am hoping to join a gym soon too.
Apart from that I’ve dug out and washed my original denim jacket from about 1999. I remember wearing this jacket nearly every day – with jeans at the same time – yep, double denim – and a hoodie underneath. The jacket still fits, has signs of wear that only old denim has and it has that soft, soft feel of much loved denim. Ah I love it.
This week I have mainly made a dent in my blogging backlog from being on holiday last week. My email inbox is empty and I am up to date with drafts that I need to write. Phew! I love being busy.
Is there anything better than sharing a box of chocolates in front of the TV? Hubby and I have been working our way through this box of Lindt Swiss Favourites and they may be the best chocolates I have ever had!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
