I don’t really have any huge goal in life, any massive ambition. The only things that I would like is to pay off our mortgage, get a loft conversion and live happily ever after!
I know realistically we will have a mortgage way into our fifties, maybe even until our early sixties. That doesn’t bother me as long as one day it gets paid off – I would never have an interest only mortgage for this reason!
Sometime over the next ten years I’d like a loft conversion – to have a master bedroom and maybe even an en-suite – to have my dream roll top bath! It would make our good size 3 bed house into a 4 bed and we would once again have a guest bedroom. I don’t know, at this point, how we will ever afford a loft conversion but it isn’t a necessity, we don’t ‘need’ it, I would just like it – one day.
Other than that, I would like to get through life being at least as happy as I am now. If I get to 75 and am still as happy as I am at this point in my life I will feel like I’ve done a good job and lived my life to the fullest.
To me, happiness is everything.
