Review: A Munchkin Picnic!

Summer wouldn’t be summer without picnics and Munchkin recently sent us a whole hamper of goodies to make our picnics perfect. We love having picnics in the garden or on days out and we usually grab a picnic blanket and find a nice spot to sit on the grass.

A Munchkin Picnic!

Our perfect picnic has to include mini scotch eggs, mini sausages, sausage rolls and little pork pies, as well as crisps, sandwiches, fruit and usually a cake or two. We fill a cool bag – or hamper – with food and off we go!

This picnic was extra special as LP had her very own Munchkin Bento Box that she loved – Even trying to eat scotch eggs with a spoon, hilarious! I can imagine future picnics where LP will have a little tub full of yogurt and one of grapes or raisins plus the big section full of sandwiches and snacks – It’s big enough for two rounds of sandwiches so plenty of room for all the picnic treats!

Little Man used his Monsters Inc divided plate but his sister borrowed the bowl for her scotch eggs. He’s just starting to use plates and bowls and the divided plate is great for keeping different foods separate. This great set also came with a spoon and fork but we haven’t really attempted cutlery with Little Man yet – I’m sure his sister will be borrowing those in the mean time!

Munchkin also do a whole variety of drinks cups – straw ones, silicone spout ones, insulated ones. There’s a munchkin drinks cup for every child and they are by far our favourites – We have tried a few over the years! We also couldn’t live without the Munchkin Snack Catchers – Little Man has cheerios in these all the time or raisins for a bit of variety. They keep everything inside until he puts his hand through the top to pull out what he wants. A great invention with very little mess!

A Munchkin Picnic!

Our Munchkin picnic was lovely. Food was eaten, drinks were drunk and the sun shone. We will definitely be having Munchkin picnics a lot over the summer.

Where do you like to go for a picnic? Are there any picnic foods that your picnic wouldn’t be the same without?

All the munchkin stuff looks great! I’ll have to have a look at their range, really want to try the bento box (of course!) but that snack pot looks brilliant!
