This week has definitely not been an ordinary week! I spent Monday and Tuesday at the Holiday Inn in Oxford with my lovely friend Natalie trying out their MummyMoon package and to be honest, that has kept me going all week! If only I could do that every week.
Here are a few more things we’ve been loving this week:
I actually read three issues of Heat magazine in half an hour whilst we were on our MummyMoon. A bit of a record which shows me that really I should read more in depth reading material! I am yet to pick up a new book – recommendations would be appreciated!
Not a huge amount! There has been a distinct lack of good TV on at the moment but I have caught up with Home and Away again and it’s given Hubby a chance to catch up on his TV programmes too – Super Girl and Hawaii Five-0.
I was in the car driving to a work course of Wednesday in the pouring rain and The Girl is Mine came on the radio. TUNE! Michael Jackson sounds so young and just so full of life. I had tickets to see him in concert when he died and it was just such a shock. There is no disputing that he was an incredible musician.
This week I have cracked out my AMAZING summer trousers. I now have hundreds of pairs of them after my best friend introduced me to them. They’re basically like pyjamas that you can wear outside of the house and they are the most comfortable things in the world. YAY for summer!
A massively psychological step forward as far as my healthy lifestyle is concerned. When Natalie and I went to the Holiday Inn we used their gym and it was the first time I had ever been into a gym – let alone used the equipment. I now feel confident that I can join a gym, people won’t be looking at me and I would be able to use the machines without looking an idiot and/or dying. So, watch this space. I will be joining a gym.
I have just got a new spiralizer and am having a bit of a love affair with courgetti. It has basically no calories and fried with spray oil, garlic and chilli flakes it is pretty amazing – yeah I know, I added bacon so not really no calories at all but hey ho, life’s too short to not have bacon!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
