This week has been full of sickness for me and for that reason it has been the longest week of the year so far. I don’t like being ill, I find it hard to not do anything and focus on getting better and so being tied to the sofa for days was just, well, boring. It’s what I needed though!
Amongst the poorly there have been a few things I’ve been loving this week.
The only thing I have read is Christmas catalogues! I am nearly done with my Christmas shopping and so having just a couple more people to buy for it’s nice to have a browse for something different. And who doesn’t love the Boots Christmas Gift Guide?!
Dave and I have got through quite a lot of TV this week. The Apprentice is great – shout at the TV type stuff and loving the extra shock firings! Alan Sugar is so good at business – you wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of him would you?
We are also loving Homeland. It has to be my ultimate put-everything-down-and-watch-it-on-the-edge-of-my-seat-the-whole-time show. If you haven’t watched it yet – watch it! But make sure you start at the beginning. If you do watch Homeland, see if you can find Sleeper Cell. Another great show and a few years old now, plus only two seasons but well worth watching.
The best thing I have heard this week is Alanis Morisette’s modern day version of Ironic. The original was part of the soundtrack to my teenage years and I saw Alanis live at Party in the Park back in 2004. One of my first concerts and awesome!
This week has been all about PJs and fluffy boots. I have literally only got dressed when I’ve really had to.
Does a microwave curry count? We haven’t made a huge amount at all this week – it’s all been pretty quick stuff that we’ve made purely because we need to eat!
I’m hoping that normal service will resume next week. I’m back to work today and although I’m not 100% I’m definitely on the mend.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
