Love the Little Things #LittleLoves – 3/52

Another week has flown by and once again I am joining in with Morgana over at But Why Mummy Why to share a few of my #littleloves from the last week. So here goes…

Read

I read a hilarious post over on Cool Bananas about growing up. I like to think that I’ll never fully grow up, there’s definitely a little bit of Peter Pan in me! If you’re starting to take your camera off manual read this post about aperture by Snowing Indoors. I have always wanted to own a pinboard map and Space In Your Case have a great demo of how to make one – I may have to try that out! Lastly, Twinderelmo asks Which Superhero parent are you? in a great post that everyone should read.

Watched

Hubby and I have loved Undateables this week, a guilty pleasure of ours and one of our favourite TV shows – we love it when the Undateables get a date and end up finding someone to share life with – there is someone for everyone!

Other than that we have watched a lot of Disney movies with the kids and LP has a few clear favourites – Cinderella, Bolt and Alice in Wonderland have all been watched this week without even a twitch in LP’s concentration.

Wore

This week has been a comfy week of jeans and jumpers out of the house and joggers and vest tops in the house! Yep, I’m one of those people that gets my comfies on as soon as I walk through the door – there is a line though, I would never leave the house in joggers, PJs or my onesie!

I have also been ‘wearing’ my new hair cut! Oh I love having my hair cut, such a treat and so nice to feel all new again. I will never get bored of that ‘just cut’ feeling, especially now I feel so much happier with shorter hair – it’s so easy and so me!

Heard

This week I have mostly been listening to my running soundtrack when I’ve gone out for a run. I download a ‘Various Artists’ running album and listen to it on shuffle, random songs that I’ve never heard of before but with a great beat for running.

Other than that, Little Man has learnt some new words – he says a very clear thank you now, please, cheese and a few other words. Hearing his voice emerge is something I will never tire of.

Made

LP and I made Peanut Butter Biscuits yesterday which I will be blogging the recipe for at some point – so easy but so yummy. LP asked for a spoon of peanut butter afterwards and I think she would have happily eaten the whole jar!

and lastly…

LP had her immunisations yesterday. She thought we were going to see Doc McStuffins and said ‘it might tickle a little’ but when she had the injections she got a sad face and said ‘ow that hurts Mummy’ and then had the other side done and just said ‘it hurts’. She then spent the evening holding both arms and feeling a bit sorry for herself but other than that she handled the whole thing a lot better than I thought she would – such a brave little thing!

What have you been up to this week?

I too love the Undateables and was really pleased to see it back on TV. I hope they revisit some as I would love to know what’s happened since.
Well LP for being so brave, I truly hate taking mine for immunisations it’s awful seeing them in pain. My E thought that Dr Ranj would be doing hers!

I almost think it’s worse when they’re brave having their injections done. At least if they get upset and dramatic you eventually get annoyed and impatient and don’t spend all day feeling evil!

I love your new haircut – it really suits you!

  9. January 16, 2015 / 4:20 pm

Yeah, I’m all about the comfy too, though it’s more jumpers than vest tops at the minute! I like your haircut, I always think about going short and I never have the confidence to do it – maybe some day! Your cookies look delicious too. Have a fab weekend x

Your hair really suits you! I sometimes wish I could go short but I am too much of a wimp to get it cut. And yay for running playlists- I need to download a new one, I have been rubbish since Christmas and my holiday. x

Loving the new do Donna! I also love wearing comfies around the house but would never ever go out with PJ’s or joggers on! Poor LP hope she is feeling better.

The new hair looks AMAZING Donna and totally suits you! Oh i love Undateables, especially when as you say, they find their perfect match. I’m a firm believe that there is one perfect person out there for everyone! Please tell me those Peanut Butter Biscuits are completely healthy and non-fattening? haha! I may be slipping off the ‘diet’ wagon otherwise! xxx #littleloves
