Love the Little Things #LittleLoves – 2/52

Another week has gone in the blink of an eye and now is my chance to take stock of how I actually spent that week. Here are my #LittleLoves for the last 7 days.

Read

I don’t get much of a chance to read anything other than blogs but I absolutely love reading blogs, commenting on them and sharing the love so this little section each week will have my favourite blog posts of the last week. I read Let films be films from Me the Man and Baby and couldn’t help but understand where she was coming from – why do we have to have girl films and boy films?! Madness! Mummy Says wrote a great post about Mummy Bloggers and it reinforced the pride I have in being able to call myself a Mummy Blogger and be amongst such fantastic company – wear the Mummy Blogger badge with pride!

I also loved reading the first of Emily and Hayley’s Photo Clinic posts for the year and am looking forward to learning more about photography through their photo clinic as the year goes on. If you’re looking for photography tips it is definitely a blog series worth following!

One thing that I have been inspired by more than anything over the last twelve months was Mummy Daddy Me’s Year of Fitness. I have started running after seeing Katie’s fitness mission and reading about her year as a whole has spurred me on once more – I will get fit!

Lastly, Blog Tips by Potty Mouthed Mummy was a great post that I think a lot of people could learn from. Great tips and I’m sure there would be at least one thing most of us could learn from that list.

Watched

This week has been all about Agents of Shield Series 2. I gave up on Series 1 after the first episode as it reminded me of a really badly redone Heroes – and I loved Heroes! But Series 2 of Agents of Shield has sucked me right in. I love it! Hubby had quite a lot recorded and so we watched a few episodes a night and have a couple left to watch – when Hubby’s next home for an evening we have our viewing ready!

Wore

I bought a new sparkly, fluffy jumper in the sales and it is the most comfortable thing I have ever worn. I also got new underwear from Boux Avenue, which I won’t be sharing photos of, but I have to say I will never be shopping anywhere else again – there is nothing like new underwear, especially when it fits so perfectly! I have an urge to buy lots more!

I also spent yesterday wearing a dressing gown and slippers on my first ever spa day. I felt a lot less self conscious than I thought I would and had a fantastic day.

Heard

LP singing mainly. She has got Frozen in her head constantly and sings all the time. I shared a video on Instagram of one of LP’s singing sessions the other day.

Made

I haven’t made a huge amount this week apart from plans. I finalised our Bucket List for the year and I started looking into our future extension in more depth. I love making plans and I am hoping that by the end of the summer our extension will be in progress!

and lastly…

This week has well and truly set us up for the new term at preschool, we are already used to the drop offs and pick ups and LP loves being back at preschool. We had a wonderful Christmas but it is now great to have our routine back.

Ah, thank you so much for mentioning me. I really believe the mummy blogging community is something special. I have never felt so supported, and I’ve made such amazing friends. I also believe we are helping each other to create something powerful and wonderful. Your blog is a testament to that and proof of it! XXX

My little man started pre school this week (sob sob) and it was so lovely walking to drop him off and then walking home hand in hand whilst he told me what he’d been doing.
My brother bought me a spa day for Christmas and I can’t wait to get it booked in. My mum is making my dad treat her to one so she can come with me.
    Have a lovely week xx

I love reading and can’t sleep without reading at least a few pages from a book each night. I’ve just discovered The Musketeers, how I missed the first series I don’t know, it’s now on Sky Plus so I can watch at my leisure. Good luck with your plans for the year.

Ohhh I have OCD when it comes to TV shows. I have to watch them from the beginning and every episode. I’m nuts!

The video of LP is insanely cute!!!!!!!!!
