Love the Little Things – 6/52 – #LittleLoves

How are we here again? Another week gone and sadly for us another week tinged with sickness. I was off work on Saturday as I spent Friday night throwing up, Hubby was sick Monday so I had to stay off work to look after the kids and Little Man was sick at least twice more too. Now that the sickness has subsided I have some kind of lurgy virus things and feel poop so really this week has been a week of cancelling plans, quarantine, PJs and snuggles!

But here are a few things we have managed to do this week…

After excelling myself and finishing a book last week I haven’t yet found another to read so it’s back to the blog reading, although that never really stopped! Glasgow Mummy has some great toilet training advice that I’ll be reading again when we start training Little Man in a few months time. Amy from 2 boys 1 Mum wrote a really honest, funny but oh so true post about how to make Mum Friends – I’m proud to call Amy one of my friends and loved this post. Charlotte from Write like no one’s watching write a post about step parents that I completely understood. Having known so many stepparents in my life I know it is one of the most undervalued jobs and yet one of the hardest.

The snow! This year is probably Little Man’s first experience of snow and LP’s first year of actually realising what it is, being able to play with it and really understand it. She has been so excited by the snow and seeing her happy excited face makes any day better, especially when she comes into our room at wake up time, opens the curtains and stares out at the flakes coming down. Cute!

PJs and joggers mainly! It has been one of those weeks. Early nights, not leaving the house unless absolutely necessary and hibernating as much as possible!

Mainly Little Man being miserable, sadly. He has been the clingiest he has ever been, has wanted Mummy constantly, has seemed to have forgotten the word yes and has been saying no to every single thing and has really just been a bit of a mess, poor thing. Normal service will resume soon I hope.

Flapjacks. How good do these look?!

I also made some jam tarts with the kids but they weren’t even worth taking a photo of! hehe. None of us have been eating this week at all so it was nice to bake a treat for the kids after two weeks of bugs and sickness.

and lastly…

I am looking forward to a germ free family at some point and I am hoping I’ll have more #littleloves next week πŸ™‚

Your flapjacks look lovely, I’ve heard rumours of a no sugar recipe which I think I might check out! So sorry to hear you have all been feeling unwell. It’s especially hard for little ones isn’t it. They just don’t know what to do with themselves! Onwards and upwards for next week hopefully! #littleloves
