Living Arrows – 8/52 {2019}
Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows – and thanks to everyone who linked up last week. I love this project and it’s so nice getting to know the families that participate in Living Arrows each week and this year it looks like a really lovely mix of old and new faces.
If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.
Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs. As a little tip, I only really feature landscape photos – and very occasionally square photos.
So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!
Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

The Roskillys
This week’s photos were taken yesterday on a bike ride at Virginia Water. It was such a beautiful day and as we’re never at home much we don’t often get to do things like go for bike rides. The children only got bikes last summer and still have stabilisers on them due to just not spending much time cycling. But, our aim between now and the end of the summer is to ride as much as possible – and their confidence grew so much in just a couple of hours on this ride too.
I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week and seeing the photos you share. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part – see you again next week!
M has a balance bike but she refuses to ride it at the park! Our garden isn’t really big enough for her to get a decent run on, and it’s sloped, which doesn’t help. It’s great that A&T are growing in confidence with their bikes; it’s a great skill to have x
My girls love going out on their bikes! It was definitely good bike weather this weekend, they look very happy x
We have just bought new bikes for the kids as they have fast outgrown their old ones. Our plans this year are to help them learn to ride without stabilisers, Daisy is a bit nervous about it but will be fine once she gets her balance. It sounds like you had a great time at the lake.
Looks like so much fun! We took Daisy out on her first bike ride recently – hope she learns how to pedal properly soon!
Thanks so much for featuring my photo this week! Lovely photos of your two this week, I love LP’s bike, we’re getting Nerys a new one for her birthday and I wonder if she’d like one with a basket like that on it! x
Oh so lovely to see them both riding their bikes, E has the same bike as your little lady!
My boys love bikes and it is a great way of teaching them balance x #Livingarrows
So nice to have had such lovely half term weather. It’s good to get outside and play. Iris has a trike that converts to a bike when she’s older. At the minute she won’t even hold the handles, rebel that she is wants to ride hands free! x
It’s great that you’ve been able to find time to practice. My eldest does a lot of her practice at her Grandparents #mmbc
Loving the shots of the kids out and about, in their happy place!
