Living Arrows – 50/52 {2019}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows – and thanks to everyone who linked up last week. I love this project and I can’t believe we are so close to the end of another year of Living Arrows. For anyone wondering, it will be carrying on next year in the same format – same time and day each week, same badge. If you’d like to carry on linking up to I will be here hosting.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs. As a little tip, I only really feature landscape photos – and very occasionally square photos.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

My Sentimental Jamboree

Toby Goes Bananas

Pondering Parenthood

This week’s photos were taken at the weekend. I’ve been mainly in bed poorly since about Thursday. We cancelled our Saturday plans so I could just rest but kept our trip to the pantomime on Sunday evening, giving me something to pull myself together for.

At the start of the year LP told me she could only wear hair bands to school that were red. At the start of December I told her that I’d found the absolute most perfect hair band – and gave this one to her. She laughed and told me I was daft. But, turns out she loves it – it’s just a little bit big for school. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I thought that might be the case!

Little Man’s photo is pretty similar to last week’s and I took it after the panto last night when I realised I didn’t have a Living Arrows photo for him this week. He was wearing his new dinosaur hoodie and was pretty tired but he didn’t mind me taking a photo.

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week and seeing the photos you share. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part – see you again next week!

  1. I love the headband – it’s so cute! I bet E would adore one of these, where is it from?
    I’m so glad that the linky will continue, I love it and will continue to join in xxx

  2. Thanks for featuring a pic of mine again. You are so inspiring Donna. I dream of blogging as many times a week as you do. Perhaps one day. I love LP’s bow and wish I could go back some years to when Lily was more keen to wear them. I also love the look of wonder in Little Man’s eyes while staring at the tree and your comment that you realized you didn’t have a pic of him. I’m grateful that that happens to others as well. Can you believe we are at week 50 already?!?! Time is flying!
