Living Arrows – 45/52 {2022}
Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows! I love this project, I’ve been doing it for so many years now and it’s always nice seeing who links up and watching children and families grow throughout the year.
If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.
Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. As of this week I’m stopping sharing my favourite from those linked up as the links are dwindling!
If you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!
Just a little update too. I’ve decided that at the end of the year I’m going to stop doing Living Arrows in its current format. Blogging has changed massively over the last few years and linkies aren’t as popular as they once were and so it feels like quite a big commitment to post and host the linky each week. I’ll still be sharing Living Arrows posts regularly – probably monthly – as I want to continue to share photos of the children. But, as they get older I’m aware they won’t want as much being shared so this feels like natural progression for us.
If anyone wants to continue to join in with a linky on a monthly basis do let me know and I’ll carry on next year but once a month rather than weekly. If everyone feels it’s a nice time to stop and start a new chapter then I understand that too. As always, thanks so much to everyone who has joined in with Living Arrows over the years. It’s been quite the journey!
This week’s photos over the weekend. We had a break in London for Dave’s birthday and it was a very hit and miss weekend – but ended up being lovely overall.
We were knackered by dinner time and LP is having some down time scrolling through her phone. And Little Man’s photo was taken on our bus ride around London – drawing pictures in the condensation on the windows.
I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week and seeing the photos you share. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part – see you again next week!
E loves to write in the condensation on the shower screen – such a relaxing (if a little wet) thing to do 🙂
