Living Arrows – 41/52 {2021}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows! I love this project, I’ve been doing it for so many years now and it’s always nice seeing who links up and watching children and families grow throughout the year.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my favourite photo from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blog. As a little tip, I only really feature landscape photos – and very occasionally square photos and I’ll never feature the same blogger’s photos two weeks in a row.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here’s my favourite photo from last week:

Last week I shared that Little Man and I were isolating with covid. We finished isolating on Friday – and then LP was sent home from school sick and ended up testing positive for covid too.

We had to cancel my birthday plans this weekend and just stayed at home together, continuing to isolate. Thankfully, LP and Little Man don’t seem to have been too badly affected by covid and it was just me that took the brunt of it. But now that three out of the four of us have had it we’re carrying on as normal at home now which has been lovely. It was so hard spending ten days away from Dave and LP and being able to spend time with them again was just the best birthday present despite the circumstances.

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week and seeing the photos you share. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part – see you again next week!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. Oh no – J is due to return tomorrow and having read this I’m now a little worried that the same will happen to us as cases are soaring at present.
    I so hope that things get better soon (for us all!)

  2. Thank you for featuring us again! I can’t imagine having to stay away from my partner and daughter for 10 days- not that Iris would let me! It’s really zipping round people now, nearly all my friends have it or are awaiting results. It just feels inevitable that we’ll get it soon. I’m trying to stay safe yet not let my anxiety take hold. I was agoraphobic for a year as a teenager and I do not want to go back to being afraid to go outside. Tough times for everyone again.

  3. Glad to hear the kids weren’t too ill – hope you’re all feeling better now, I saw on your Stories that you’re out and about again at least 🙂
