Living Arrows – 40/52 {2021}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows! I love this project, I’ve been doing it for so many years now and it’s always nice seeing who links up and watching children and families grow throughout the year.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, â€śYou are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my favourite photo from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blog. As a little tip, I only really feature landscape photos – and very occasionally square photos and I’ll never feature the same blogger’s photos two weeks in a row.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here’s my favourite photo from last week:

This week isn’t really the one we had planned. Little Man and I tested positive for coronavirus early last week and so have been isolating. Dave and LP are negative so we have been trying to keep apart as much as possible so Little Man and I have basically been living in the loft conversion – and I feel so privileged to have the space to live separately at the moment even though it’s the longest ten days of my life.

LP has been a trooper. She understands she has to distance from us, can’t play with Little Man, can’t have cuddles etc but she knows it’s not forever. Roll on Friday when, hopefully, we can go back to normal!

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week and seeing the photos you share. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part – see you again next week!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. So sorry to hear you’ve got Covid. I hope you’re both feeling okay. It must be so hard to have to keep separate. I’m dreading if we’re ever in that position, with a 4 year old I can’t even go to the toilet without her following me, I don’t know how we’d manage 10 days apart!

  2. I’m with you sister – we are pretty much in the same boat as you minus the loft conversion! Hope all returns to normal soon, on that note I’m off to get more paracetamol.

  3. Thank you for featuring Teddy the week. I’m sorry to hear you and Troy had covid. I know all to well that the isolation days are long and tiring. I hope there were no more positive tests in the house and you’ve enjoyed some freedom this weekend? x
