Living Arrows – 37/52 {2017}
Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows. I am loving how many people have decided to make Living Arrows a part of their blogging routine for 2017, it is so lovely to have you all here.
If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.
Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.
Also – something new here, I will be trying to resurrect the Living Arrows Instagram account! So, use #LivingArrows on Instagram and follow @LivingArrows_ and then I will share my favourite images each week – I’ll probably try and do one a day but we’ll see how I go! I’ll probably feature the previous week’s images the following week. Anyway, follow and use the hashtag and we’ll see what happens!
So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!
Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:
This week’s photos have to be back to school ones really don’t they? Little Man started in reception and just looked so grown up. LP looked so little when she started – she was so little – but Little Man looks just right and he is so ready for school. He has had a great first few days and is looking forward to his first full week this week.
LP is now in Year 2 and went back to school full of a cold on Wednesday. The three of us had all been a bit under the weather since the previous weekend but it hit LP the hardest and she was coughing, sneezing and emotional. I think the busy summer finally caught up with her. So she spent her first few days at school dosed up on Calpol. Bless her.
I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week. If you link up make sure to go and read some of the other posts and I’ll be commenting and sharing them through the course of the week. Thanks so much for taking part!

They look so smart and grown up! Love the hedge instead of a door or fireplace ?
We took a picture of LP in front of it when she started school and now it’s a tradition!
Oh I hope LP gets better soon. Little Man looks adorable in his uniform, in fact they both do! It’s really gone by so fast hasn’t it x
They both look so smart in their uniforms and ready for a new school year. Poor LP hope she’s feeling much better this week x
Little Man looks so grown up in his uniform – glad to hear he had a good first few days, long may it continue! Sorry to hear you’ve all been under the weather, poor LP – a cold and school!! Calpol is a wonderful thing!
I love that you take photos in front of the hedge. They are so lovely! Hope you have a nice week x #LivingArrows
t’s turned into a bit of a tradition! x
Ah bless LP, you can see in her eyes she looks full of cold. I hope she is better now. Look at little man, so proud x
Hope Little Man’s enjoying it so far. It’s always nice when they’ve got siblings (or in N’s case cousins) at the same school
I love how many of us linking have little ones starting this week! I hope LP feels better soon, Henry is already coming down with something since starting 2 mornings! The school run is exhausting us both! xx
Thank you for picking the picture of Lily as one of your favourites. I posted my back to school for this week also although I wish mine were as small and sweet looking as your two are. How I would love to go back. FB memories have been great at reminding me how much my two have grown. I hope you are all feeling on the mend already and if not, very soon.
Look how smart they both look in their uniforms. I’ve loving seeing all of these back to school photos and can’t quite believe that Lyra will be starting next year! I hope LP is feeling better now.
Exciting week all round! Maybe I should have included our ‘starting preschool’ one, but I thought a birthday was equally monumental. Where does the time go, eh? Thanks for hosting x
They look great in their matching school uniforms ?
Bless them, they look so smart in their uniform – I love the colour!! I hope everyone’s over their colds now? x
Oh look at them! It must be so strange for you having them both at school now – I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when Gabe is going to school too 🙂
