This week has been such a busy week with it being our first week back at school after half term. There’s been a lot going on at school, so much work to catch up on and each day has been so full. Here are a few things we’ve loved this week:
I read this post of Emma’s about how she takes, chooses and edits photos for her beautiful Instagram feed. It was so nice to read tips from someone who isn’t a photographer and is just a normal person who loves to take and share lovely photos. I found it a really inspiring read.
I’ve been ploughing on with Grey’s Anatomy – and, damn, it’s hard to watch at times. But, I am loving watching it, the characters are all such deep, involved people and the stories in each episode and the underlying bigger stories are all so gripping.
I’ve been listening to more old music this week. I have loved Lenny Kravitz for as long as I can remember and his Greatest Hits album is one of my all time favourites. This is one of my favourite tracks:
This week LP finished making her Dippy dinosaur. It was a half term project that she really enjoyed – and look how proud she looks!
Last weekend LP and I dressed up in our matching pumpkin dresses for a bit of early Halloween matchy matchy-ness. She loves it when she looks like me – well, she looks like me anyway, but any extra way we can be alike she absolutely loves – so matching dresses made her happy.
The children love ice lollies – all year round – and their favourites are simple milk lollies. We’ve just discovered Little Jude’s Milk Lollies when they were delivered to us to try and the children loved them. They have 30% less sugar than other popular varieties which gets a thumbs up from us.
We’re off to a hotel for the weekend – without the children – and I can’t wait to relax and unwind. Hubby starts his new job on Monday so we’ll be having a mini celebration too. Have a great weekend everyone!
