This has been another week full of dust and extension work. It’s gone by in a blur and we have spent a lot of time camped out upstairs, watching TV and having takeaways!
But here we are with the things we’ve been loving this week:
I haven’t read much at all this week. I have a subscription to Heat magazine and that’s about as good as it gets for reading material at the moment.
I have been ploughing on with The Good Wife this week and am now nearly at the end of series 2! I love it – familiar actors, great storylines, court room drama and that tangled web of relationships and lies that you get with any long running series. It’s great TV.
I’ve also been watching Homeland – it’s so great to have it back on TV. If you haven’t watched it yet you really should – it’s so real it’s scary and I just can’t wait for this series to get going a bit more.
I’m getting a new found love of music and am trying to listen to more but I still mainly listen to music in the car. This song came on the radio the other day and I couldn’t help but have a little boogie as we were driving along the road. Such a tune!
We have made progress with the extension. It feels like there is real light at the end of the tunnel now – the whole space has been boarded and the plastering should be finished by Sunday. Then Monday it’s full steam ahead with the floor and the kitchen arrives on Wednesday!
This week I have mainly been wearing comfy clothes – changing into my pyjamas as early as possible. But, I’m also in love with my new Next jumper. It’s lightweight and fits so nicely, plus I love the colours. I’ve been living in it recently.
Lauren and I have been shouting about the #5MinutesPeace hashtag over on Instagram for a month now – where has the time gone?! And it’s my turn to share my favourite photos from the last couple of weeks. I’m really loving looking through the feed and it really sums up taking some time out, relaxing and everything that goes with that – it’s great to see all the different ways people relax.
This week’s photos are from Not a Frumpy Mum, Sophie etc, Life with Mrs Lee and Paige’s Preferences. I loved how homely all the photos felt, the muted colours and the general casual feel. Plus, you can’t beat mini gingerbread men or a ginger cat can you?
Keep following #5MinutesPeace and joining in too – it’s a great way of finding lots more great Instagram accounts to follow too. Have a lovely weekend everyone!
