This has been one really busy but lovely week. It’s been so full and I am so ready for the weekend – but at the same time I don’t want this week to be over.
Here we go with the things we’ve been loving this week:
Hubby and I went to see The Girls at the theatre in London on Wednesday night and I spent the journey home reading the programme. I love how all theatre people seem to have been in the same TV shows – Holby City and Casualty – and I love how familiar faces end up in front of you on stage – like Neil Grayling from Bad Girls!
I would put The Girls here again but then I’d end up using it for every section and I’d like to make it a little bit more exciting! Lauren and I went on a lovely break away on Monday/Tuesday and after dinner we put our PJs on and watched bloggers on YouTube. I never get to just sit and watch YouTube videos without interruptions and it was so nice to just relax and not have anything else to be doing. Some favourites were Brummy Mummy, Mummy Daddy Me and Sparkles and Stretchmarks.
I have had this song in my head from The Girls since we left the theatre and it’s one I think I will be singing forever. It’s such a happy song, with real meaning and a great emphasis on seeing the light in life. I love it.
This week we have made huge progress on the house. Last weekend I painted LP’s room and she is in love with the new bright pink walls – it’s like something straight from My Little Pony and she couldn’t be happier with it. I just need to paint the woodwork when the missing skirting is replaced and we’ve even ordered the new carpet that should be fitted next week. It feels like we are gradually getting our house back!
The extension is really coming together too and this week our appliances have been put in, the electrics have been hooked up and we have been able to do washing and cook – although we can’t really use the kitchen until the splashbacks are tiled and the worktops oiled – but it’s getting there. Plus, we have had our utility room and downstairs toilet kitted out this week – life changing stuff!
Another week when I just don’t have anything to share – I haven’t even acknowledged my clothes this week – there’s so much else going on. I’ll try harder next week.
Next week is the start of Fairtrade Fortnight and so I’ve been getting into the spirit and enjoying a great selection of fairtrade chocolate and jelly beans. It just tastes so good! I may have shared the jelly beans with the children but the chocolate was all mine – these bars are the perfect size to enjoy over the course of an evening too.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
