Another week and I’m here again – two Little Loves in a row is better than I did last year! I think I may be on a roll! This has been a mixed bag of a week – with more building work, school runs and then a pretty epic spa day yesterday! I’m also off somewhere very exciting today but I can’t tell you about it yet – watch this space!
So here we go with the things we’ve been loving this week:
I haven’t read a physical book this week but I did read this great post from Just Saying Mum. It was actually the first time I’d read Helen’s blog and I wish I had found it sooner. She writes about life with her three teenagers and I see a future that I hope to have. A life where you’re no longer playing at being a parent – you’re just being one. Where everything just gels and you live the life you have made and where it just works – ups, downs and everything. Plus, her children sound like they have a great relationship too.
I have been ploughing through with Gilmore Girls – season seven and things have ramped up a notch! I only started watching it a month or two ago and love it – it’s my background viewing when I’m reading blogs in the evening and I love it. I wish I’d known about it first time around.
I have been listening to Nina Simone’s Feeling Good on repeat. It’s such an uplifting, feel good song and it’s good to have something positive on in the background when I’m sorting things at home.
We’ve been sent an Aldi Omelette Maker to review and so we have been making omelettes almost daily – a dream with the kitchen in the state it is at the moment! I didn’t know omelette makers were a thing and so this has been eye opening – plus, Little Man is loving omelettes too.
This week I went clothes shopping – by myself whilst the children were at school. It was lovely and I bought a pretty special new dress too. I love H&M dresses, the shape just suits me perfectly and they always have lots of different fabrics but all the same style. This one was only £7.99 too so an absolute bargain!
This weekend we don’t have any plans apart from celebrating my lovely Father in Law’s birthday on Sunday afternoon. Other than that, I think I’ll take the children to the movies Saturday morning and relax the rest of the time! We are still trying to get used to being back at school and getting back into our routine has been tough – no-one has wanted to get up in the mornings!
Whatever you’re up to – have a wonderful weekend.
