Friends, Sting and Roast Dinners #LittleLoves

This week has been full of play dates – and far too much soft play for Little Man if that is such a thing. I actually can’t believe how quick the weeks are going now and I think part of that is that we don’t have a set week/weekend routine due to mine and Hubby’s working patterns – each day and week just rolls into the next.

But even so, here are a few things we’ve been loving this week…

This week has been full of blog reading – and there have been some great blog posts around this week. Laura wrote a great post about 10 Things that Help with Weight Loss and I loved it – such easy things to add seamlessly into your lifestyle.

I also read Stevie’s Real Mums and Real Women post really resonated with me. I don’t look anything like the media’s portrayal of the ideal woman and I am probably more like the media’s idea of a ‘real’ Mum. But aren’t we all as real and as valid? Really great post!

I have become quite good friends with Natalie recently and could really relate to her Friendship: What Does it Really Mean? post. My social circles have changed massively over the last few years – mostly through really difficult times in my life – the first year after having LP and the transition of going from one baby to two. Real friends will definitely be there through the bad times as well as the good but they will also be there if you’re too busy to fit them in for weeks or months at a time. Real friends will just understand. Another great post.

This week Timehop has reminded me how cute LP was at 18 months old. She had a fascination with the Friends theme tune and was more than a little excited whenever it came on the TV. Here’s a clip from back then – make sure you watch it until at least when the theme tune comes on!

We have in store radio at work and yesterday this song came on the radio and I haven’t heard it since school. Such a great song.

This week I have been dressing pretty comfy in leggings and layers mainly. I broke out my blogger tee again the other day for a playdate though.

Friends, Sting and Roast Dinners #LittleLoves

The best thing I’ve made this week was a roast chicken dinner complete with leftover frozen parsnips from Christmas! There’s nothing better than a roast dinner – especially when it’s midweek!

This is a lovely post! I know what you mean about social circles, mine have definitely changed from when I first started. That video of LP is adorable, look at her little face, it’s too cute! Toby had a similar obsession, and it used to make him go quiet. I think because I watched it a lot when I was pregnant that the theme tune was comforting for him. I love that t-shirt, where’s it from? And that roast looks amazing, I’ll be round on Sunday! xx
