Flights, Fences and Denim #LittleLoves

I’ve had such a busy few weeks that I’ve had to skip Little Loves for the past couple of Fridays. This week I am back to normal and so here I am with a few things I’ve been loving this week.

Read

Last weekend I went to Manchester for Blog On and managed to read a whole book! It was Big Little Lies and I loved it, so many twists and a completely unexpected ending. A great book that was just so easy to read.

Watched

I have had a Home and Away marathon since I came back from Manchester, trying to free up some space on our Virgin box! Other than that, Hubby’s been working evenings and nights so we haven’t had a chance to watch anything else.

Heard

Flight announcements and updates. I flew to Manchester for Blog On and, sod’s law, both my planes were delayed in one way or another. On the way out we were stuck sitting on the plane for twenty minutes before it could take off as there was a problem with the fuel tank. On the way back the plane landed but the brakes failed, making people fall over and need to take their seats again. Another twenty minutes before we could get off the plane!

Wore

I bought a denim jacket! I have the last one I bought in the loft – from about 1999! But I saw a few people wearing denim jackets now and thought it would be a great investment for the summer. I definitely feel more than a little retro in it though – it’s taken me back to my teens!

Made

We made quite a change to our garden this week, having half of our fences replaced. A few of the panels had fallen down recently and so we got someone to come and replace them all. Not the cheapest of jobs but it definitely looks a whole load better – here’s the before and after:

and Lastly

Blog On was awesome last weekend. I will write a dedicated post about it soon but it was so lovely to meet so many people I had spoken to online, spend some time with some of my blogging besties and learn stuff too. The cake was pretty amazing too.

Your garden looks fantastic, we really could do with getting ours done but as you’ll know it’s pricey and we need to save our pennies for other more pressing house projects. It was so lovely to see you last weekend Donna, I had a fab day at Blog On and it was so nice to spend some time with you! Loving the jacket, I can’t wait to wear my denim dress this Summer, just need to brave getting my legs out, ha! x
