Five Under £5 {March 2016}

It’s that time of the month again where I link up with Julia and her Five Under £5 series sharing five things I’ve bought in the last month that have cost no more than £5.

It’s always so hard for me to think of what to include as I buy quite a lot of things each month – things for the house, things we need, gifts and things that I think might be of use one day… Most of the things I buy are also under five pounds as I do love a bargain.

This month’s assortment starts with a Garden Trading jar of pegs. I love Garden Trading and I love things that look nice but are useful too. I’m also starting to collect things for when our extension is done and I thought this jar would look lovely on the side in our utility room. It was also reduced to £3 in the Homesense clearance – so a bargain too!

We are off on our first family holiday abroad in less than five months and I am starting to prepare for it where I can. I spotted these Cargo Shorts in the Next clearance section and had to buy them for Little Man – they were again reduced to just £3 and will be perfect for our holiday – and the summer in general.

One of my favourite places to shop for homeware and toys is Sainsburys and we often go to our local store just to have a wander. Last week we went there to look for a costume for World Book Day for LP and instead of a costume I ended up with a bag of toys – for LP and Little Man’s Birthdays and also our present box. The best bargains were these two Frozen dolls, reduced to just £4 each! LP will love them when her Birthday comes around.

Lastly, after finishing the Harry Potter series a few days ago I needed something else to read and after hearing so many positive reviews of it I bought Disclaimer. I have a constant book wish list on Amazon and like to treat myself to a couple of books every now and again and this one was around £4.

So there you have my favourite five things under £5 for the month. I’ll be back in April sharing some more!

    Amazing price for the frozen dolls, I might have to pay a visit myself. Is your present box, like mine. You buy great priced toys when you see them and pop in a box for when you have friends birthdays? X

      Yep, just like that. Although mine is now a couple of big plastic crates in the loft for all occasions x

    I need you to come bargain shopping with me, can’t believe you found these things so cheap! I love the frozen dolls, £4 for them is an absolute steal, my daughter would love them! Like the sound of the present box too, is that for when you get invited to parties? We’re usually running round the morning of the party trying to find gifts which is a nightmare!

      Yep, I have big plastic boxes in the loft full of toys and things ready in case of emergencies – or if I see something and think someone would like it but it’s not for a few months x

    Glad I read this… you’ve reminded me I need to pick up some decoration-y bits for our home, so think a trip to Homesense is in order. Great bargain on the dolls too & we always have a wander down the toys aisle in Sainsburys too

    I wish we had a Sainsbury’s close by as I love their toy selection, especially when they have offers and sales on, they are a great bargain! I’m adding Disclaimer to my to read list, I tend to treat myself to a few books on my kindle each month if I see them at a good price but I do love buying real books, I tend to save them for ones I know I will want to keep or will be able to pass round my friends! #fiveunder5 xx
