I love this time of the month, sharing random things I’ve purchased for under £5 and linking up with the lovely Julia over at Rainbeaubelle. It gets quite addictive buying something and then making a mental note to include it in this post – and it’s often hard to keep it to five things too, as you’ll see this month!
It’s a bit of an eclectic mix this month. I bought a new cushion from Card Factory of all places for just £4.99 and I love it. We only get one life – so love it. They have a great range of cushions and I’ll be buying another next time I pop in.
I also bought this flower pen for just 99p. It’s a silly little gift for a friend’s birthday but for under a pound you can’t really go wrong. It looks like a pot plant but comes out of the pot to write with. I love it – such fun!
My final Card Factory purchase was this Living The Dream mug. I think I am just so fortunate to have this life I am living – and it really is my dream. I don’t need lots of money and material things to be living the dream and so I bought this mug to remind me of that, even on the days where the kids are poorly, the housework hasn’t been touched and we’re having a takeaway for dinner. Even your dreams can have harder days in them.
I went into Tiger for the first time in ages and managed to only buy three things. We don’t have one locally and I absolutely love it for random things that you don’t really need but look nice. This tea light holder is just that. It was only £2, is great quality and came in a range of colours. I have no idea where I’m going to put it though – maybe in the garden?
One of my favourite shops, that I bang on about all the time, is Homesense and I love nothing more than their clearance sections. I picked up this set of Disney Christmas books for just £3 which I am putting away for the children’s December box next year – we always buy one or two new Christmas books and they will love these.
And, I’m cheating slightly this week as I remembered this sign I bought, also from Homesense, for just £4.99. It’s on our side gate and I just love it. Whenever we have gatherings in the summer people use the side gate to come straight into the garden and I love the friendly welcome this will give them.
So there you have it six things under £5 for April! I’m looking forward to seeing what bargains other bloggers have found this month.
