LP and Little Man love having tea parties. Often they’ll get home from school, get changed and we’ll spread out a picnic blanket in the lounge, gather some cuddly toys and put together a picnic tea, chatting and watching TV whilst we have a little tea party meal together.
This is just what we did when Disney sent some new characters to our house to keep LP and Little Man company. They were both so excited when Frozen’s Anna, BB-8 and Mickey and Minnie turned up for a Christmas tea party.
Mickey and Minnie are both dressed for Christmas, wrapped up warm in festive tartan. They are the perfect friends for any child this Christmas – and Disney even personalised their feet for the children, a service that the Disney Store now offer. LP and Little Man loved that their favourite Disney characters had their names on their feet.
I put together a special picnic tea whilst LP and Little Man scoured the house for all their other Disney friends – with multiple Mickeys and Minnies joining us as well as Goofy! We then had such a lovely tea party, and got in the festive spirit – and the children couldn’t have been happier with the company – or the Star Wars plates and cups!
At this time of year we focus on quiet time, relaxing at home and just making the most of time together and things like tea parties make the children happy and are easy for us as parents too. It’s nice to relax together, watch a Disney movie together and take our time for an afternoon – rather than the daily rush we usually have of homework, dinner, bath and bed.
So now Mickey, Minnie, Anna and BB-8 are here to stay, to join in more tea parties and sit on the end of the children’s beds whilst they’re at school and cuddled whilst they sleep at night. You really can’t beat the love children have for soft toys and these are easily some of the children’s favourites.
