LP and Little Man love nothing more than a tea party. They’ll often have tea parties just the two of them – with play food, play crockery and even play cups of tea. At other times they’ll invite all their cuddly toys for the tea party and get Hubby and I involved too.
To celebrate National Tea Day tomorrow LP was sent a Sofia the First tea set, along with Jakks Disney Princess Toddler Dolls to invite for tea. LP also invited her brother as, in her words, a party isn’t a party without Little Man there too.
LP decided that her tea party would actually be a picnic and so she took all her Disney dolls – Ariel, Rapunzel, Sofia and Belle, as well as her much loved Cinderella, out into the garden and put them on the picnic rug before setting out the tea things amongst her guests.
LP even dressed up in a matching princess dress and really loved handing out the tea and cakes. She really is well suited to playing host and loves being in charge. We even dished out some real chocolate biscuits to give both LP and Little Man a tea party treat and Hubby and I had an actual cup of tea to mark the occasion too.
The children absolutely loved their tea party and now have ready made princess friends to invite to every tea party they have in the future. The tea party was the perfect way to toast National Tea Day and as a tea lover myself it was great to celebrate the occasion!
LP and Little Man are already asking for their next tea party and I think we may even do it all again tomorrow.
Disclosure: We were sent the above dolls and tea set for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.
