Advent calendars have become a bit of a family tradition. When the children were babies I would I would fill an advent calendar with treats and little toys but now that they’re older they love seeing what advent calendar I produce.

But this year Spicers of Hythe sent us their Sharing Advent Calendar to count down to Christmas. It’s a concept I hadn’t seen before but it’s one beautiful advent calendar that a couple or whole family can share, opening one door each day and sharing the contents.

The advent calendar is really well made and solid – as soon as you peel back the cellophane you know that each door is going to hold a real treat! Inside there are 24 really good size doors that are easy to open and hold individually wrapped surprises each day.

Behind each door there’s a really nice size gift of chocolate, fudge, cookies or sweets – the perfect thing to share. Over the course of the month there are 12 different bags of sweets – from Mint Imperials to Cola Bottles, Chocolate Eclairs and Sherbet Lemons.

There are also three different bars of chocolate in different flavours, three different flavours of fudge, three types of cookies and three different bags of chocolate confectionary. The bars of chocolates and cookies are around 50g and the bags of chocolates and sweets vary in weight from around 90g upwards – but each treat is the perfect size to share.

The variety in the advent calendar is amazing with things like Rocky Road Bites, Christmas Pudding Fudge and Chocolate Caramels. Each product is so full of flavour, such great quality and perfect to eat in the evening whilst watching TV, taking on a day out or enjoying on a car journey.

The Spicers of Hythe Sharing Advent Calendar is such a lovely idea. It’s the sort of advent calendar a whole family can enjoy, giving a really lovely treat each day through December.
The Spicers of Hythe Sharing Advent Calendar has an RRP of £57.99
