Center Parcs, Bryan Adams and Baths #LittleLoves

After spending last weekend at Center Parcs it’s been nice to get home, unpack, wade through the mountain of washing and spend some time in the sun – even if it was just the school run and hanging the washing out.

Here are a few of the things we’ve been loving this week:

Read

I haven’t read much this week apart from Katy’s post about how to be nice to other bloggers. It talks about things you can quickly and easily do that will really help a blogger and it was just so nice to read.

Watched

This week Hubby and I have been ploughing through House of Cards. It took us two attempts to get into it but now we’re loving it – Kevin Spacey’s character really is good at playing the game. I’m just trying to work out what the end goal is. Well worth watching if you’re looking for a series to start.

We also made a video of our Center Parcs break if you’d like to take a look:

Heard

I hung the washing out the other day whilst singing along to Summer of ’69. What a tune. It’s one that will never get old and I remember hearing it for the first time when I was about 14 and loving it. It’s quite funny that it was actually released the year I was born – and I still love it now.

Made

I have been having so many baths recently. It’s one time I get to really just sit back and relax. So, ‘making’ a bath may be a tenuous link but it works for me. I was sent a Body Polish to try out and it’s been amazing for my skin – the perfect way to get ready for summer. I love a bath and just being able to lock myself in the bathroom, shave my legs, exfoliate, moisturise and dedicate some time to all that stuff.

Wore

I just received my second order from Everything 5 Pounds. The first order was a bit of a failure as nothing fit and you have to pay to return – as well as delivery being really expensive – but the second order was much better. As it says on the tin, everything is just £5 and they have so much variety – from shoes and bags to pretty much every part of your wardrobe. I bought some new staples for me – waterfall cardigans and floaty dresses – as well as some cropped combats and some other bits for the summer – and this jumper which I love. It’s one size – 8-14 – which I have no idea how it would work really, and it’s probably more a size 12-14 – but it’s roomy and great for lounging in. Plus, it makes me happy.

and lastly…

We’re not away this weekend and instead we’re doing some low key Father’s Day celebrations with Hubby and taking the children to the park on their bikes. I’m looking forward to a slower paced weekend and some family time.

Have a great weekend whatever you get up to.

Ah love your video of your break at Woburn. We are huge fans of Center Parcs having been to Whinfell around 14 times (and Woburn once). Love the top from Everything 5 pounds. I have had a few good things from them, apart from a top that arrived with the security tag still attached. Thankfully they sorted it really quickly x

Summer of ,69 is one of my all time favourite records, my eldest son is on the security team of an upcoming Bryan Adams gig so I am hoping he will be able to get me an autograph!

Love that song! CP Woburn looks great, I’d never heard of that one until recently. I quite fancy another trip to Center Parcs, so may even give that one a go as we tend to head towards Elveden if we do go. Hope you have a lovely weekend x

Your trip to Center Parcs looks like it was so much fun!!! You’ve really made me want to go. It’s so perfect for families. I’ve never heard of Everything 5 Pounds before, but I just had a peek at their website and wow! I’m going to pop and order a couple of things in a moment. I can’t believe they’re all so cheap! I love Katy’s post. It really does pay to be nice to people. It also just makes you feel really good as a person. x

I don’t live too far from my local Center Parcs but still haven’t managed to visit, I really much take a look at what breaks they have available.

Yay for Center Parcs! We love it there and really must plan another break.
House of Cards is fantastic isn’t it? Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are incredible as the characters you just love to hate. We’re trying to space out this most recent season and not just binge it in one go.
    Have a great week xx

I’ve really got out of the habit of dedicating some time to myself – your bath story reminded me that I must pick it back up again. Center Parcs is such a great family holiday isn’t it? Hope you had a nice relaxing weekend for Father’s Day xx
