Celebrating Pizza-Party Day with Netflix

Netflix sent us a message last week telling us that it was Pizza-Party Day on Saturday – and what better excuse for pizza than a whole day dedicated to it! As I was away at the Blog On conference in Manchester at the weekend we delayed our Pizza-Party Day until I got back – and the children were just so excited to have some time together, eat pizza and watch their favourite Netflix shows.

Now, as with all well made plans, something was bound to get in the way of our pizza party – I had to spend the afternoon at A&E with Little Man as he fractured his elbow and is now sporting a cast for the next couple of weeks. Because of this we weren’t really up to making pizzas as he didn’t feel he could really join in so instead we cooked some shop bought ones and had them with a colourful salad.

As a family we love pizza and Hubby and I would happily eat so many different toppings but the children are pretty set in their ways, loving nothing more than cheese and tomato or an occasional pepperoni!

After we’d eaten we sat down to watch Netflix and relax until bedtime. The children love watching a good series on Netflix, watching a handful of episodes one after the other but there is nothing like watching a family movie – or two – together.

Our current favourites are Matilda, Chicken Run and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. It’s so nice to have such choice at the touch of a button and I cannot wait for two of my favourites to join Netflix at the end of the month – James and the Giant Peach and Jumanji!

We loved dedicating an evening to pizza and Netflix and I think it’s something we will have to do more often – rather than just saving it for Pizza-Party Day!

Disclosure: We are part of the Netflix Stream Team this year however, as always, all opinions are my own.

Funnily we have just purchased a pizza oven so are also enjoying them nothing compared to home made pizza though hope your little man feels better soon!

We’ve recently got netflix and I have to say it has been life changing. I love it, we are currently watching the first episode of The Crown and I suspect we’ll watch every single one over the coming weeks!

Oh bless him, fracturing his elbow! Poor thing. Hope the pizza cheered him (and you) up! 🙂
