LP and Little Man love wooden toys and we have always tried to invest in wooden toys as we know how long they last compared to other toys – and they can be handed down to other children to be enjoyed for generations. When Magic Fairy Wings sent LP and Little Man their Melissa and Doug Plane and Luggage Carrier Set they couldn’t wait to play with it – especially as we were going on holiday a couple of days after it arrived!

Little Man has always loved vehicles – cars, trains, boats – anything that moves, he loves. So when the Melissa and Doug Transporter Lorry from Magic Fairy Wings arrived to review Little Man was just so excited! A giant vehicle that carries little vehicles – it was his idea of vehicle heaven!

Little Man loves his wooden train set and it’s without a doubt his most played with toy. But, it’s also a toy that can be added to over the months and years to increase the fun that can be had. Brio sent Little Man their Rail and Road Travel Set to add to his wooden train collection and he insisted on playing with it immediately.

Every child loves a playhouse and I have always wanted a big wooden one in the garden. We were planning on getting one for the children as a treat when we do our extension, to make the upheaval and change a little easier for them. However, Big Game Hunters got in contact and asked if we’d like to review one of their great playhouse range and we decided to bring the children’s treat forward – not that they minded at all!

Like all Bigjigs toys, the Coloured Xylophone is well made and timeless, the sort of toy that can be handed down to siblings or even future generations.

We have quite a big garden and so when LP first showed an interest in swings – as all babies do – we knew we wanted swings for the garden. Her grandparents bought a set of swings for her 1st Birthday and they served us well but they were getting older and we had been looking for something to give the children a bit more entertainment rather than just the swings. When Asda got in contact and asked if we’d like to review a set of swings it couldn’t have come at a better time.
