Last weekend I was invited to Nutfield Priory Hotel and Spa along with a friend to enjoy a spa break and much needed relaxation in the Surrey countryside. It’s not too far from London Gatwick airport and Redhill. We arrived at lunchtime to find plenty of free parking and were impressed with the beautiful gothic facade of the hotel and even more impressed that our room was ready for us – a couple of hours before the official check in time.

Earlier this week Lauren and I went to Needham House hotel for a little break away. It’s situated just outside Stevenage in Hertfordshire and is really easily accessible from London and the home counties. We arrived in the early afternoon, parked easily and loved how secluded the hotel felt although we had only turned off the A1 minutes earlier!

A Mini-Break in Bath to visit The Roman Baths

We started off half term with a family friendly Bath mini break on a self catering holiday, to one of my favourite places in the UK. We haven’t really explored Bath with the children before so it was great to go on a city break and do things we wouldn’t usually do – with the main focus of our trip being to visit The Roman Baths, somewhere I hadn’t been since I was LP’s age.

A few days ago a friend and I were invited for a spa day at the Brooklands Hotel. It’s a hotel I have always been familiar with but have never been to, knowing that it’s right next door to the Mercedes Benz World and opposite the Mercedes test track.

Review: Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa

We love exploring the UK as a family and finding family friendly places to stay. When we went to Wales to visit The Royal Mint Experience, we stayed at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa for the night. I didn’t know much about the hotel before we arrived but we were able to park underneath the hotel, with plenty of availability for just £12 for the night and checked in easily.

A Frugi Gift this Christmas #FrugiFamily

We really enjoy exploring more of the UK and finding family friendly hotels to stay at during our adventures. Last weekend we stayed at the Novotel Southampton hotel on West Quay Road to extend a festive day out into a festive weekend. The Novotel is situated close to West Quay shopping centre and also Southampton Docks – so a great base for both travel and entertainment.

Last week Lucy and I went to Wyboston Lakes hotel spa in Bedfordshire for a much needed spa break. Although Wyboston Lakes is close to where Lucy lives neither of us knew much about it, or what to expect but we were really looking forward to the break.

We love finding new family friendly hotels to stay at. Last weekend we were invited to the Marriott hotel in Waltham Abbey to have a little break for Dave’s Birthday. It’s a part of the country we haven’t really spent much time before and one we were keen to explore a bit more.

Mark Warner Lemnos – A Family Holiday

When our Thomas Cook summer holiday was cancelled three weeks before we were due to fly out in August we looked everywhere for something of the same spec for a similar price and couldn’t find anything. In the end we booked a holiday to the Mark Warner Lemnos resort out of sheer desperation. We read reviews before and we hoped that sacrificing two weeks for one and all inclusive for full board wouldn’t affect our holiday experience too much. We were just so pleased to have something booked and couldn’t wait to fly out. There isn’t such a thing as Mark Warner all inclusive and full board is as all inclusive as it gets.

Homewood Park Hotel and Spa Review

There is nothing like a spa break with a good friend and when I was invited to stay at the Homewood Park Hotel and Spa I took Hayley along too. Homewood Park is just outside of Bath and situated in beautiful countryside. When I walked from the car to the hotel it felt so lovely and peaceful, I couldn’t wait to get inside.
