A Cosy Review: Weekend at the Maytime Inn – Asthall, Oxfordshire

Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

Due to having a young family as well as both working shifts around each other, Dave and I don’t often get time alone together, especially not overnight so when The Maytime Inn invited us to stay with them for a weekend I was really looking forward to it. The Maytime Inn is situated in a really beautiful and quiet village in the cotswolds.

A Night at Novotel Milton Keynes Review

Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

We love finding new family friendly places to stay across the country. At the end of October Half Term we had a weekend away at Butlins planned which was quite a long way from us. To break up the journey Novotel invited us to stay with them at their Novotel Milton Keynes hotel and it was perfectly situated for our trip.

Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel Review

Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

When we were planning my Birthday this year I decided that I wanted to do something with the children. As LP had just started school a month before and Dave and I often work at weekends we don’t get a huge amount of time together so a family weekend break away at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel for the four of us seemed like the perfect way to spend my Birthday.

Marwell Hotel, Hampshire – Review

Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

We often go on adventures at the weekend and extend them by finding family friendly hotels to stay at. Last weekend we were invited to stay at the Marwell Hotel by Hampshire’s Top Attractions who wanted us to get a feel of what Hampshire had to offer families looking for days out of a break away. As a family we don’t get a huge amount of time together and so this was very much a welcome break.

Center Parcs Whinfell Forest Review

A couple of weeks ago we had a self catering break away at Center Parcs in Whinfell Forest, on the edge of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. We chose this location as we have friends in Cumbria that we planned to stay with to extend our break. It’s also a part of the country we hadn’t yet seen much of – as it’s so far away from us.

Bluestone Spa Review

Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

Whilst we were at Bluestone on holiday I made use of the Well Spa, Bluestone’s spa complex. The spa is situated in a bright yellow building in the main village area making it incredibly hard to miss.

Bluestone National Park Resort Review

Disclosure: We were invited on this break for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

We visited Bluestone National Park Resort once before, about 18 months ago when Little Man was six months old and we had a week of teething hell and rain. Add to that the fact that half the Adventure Centre was closed off for Kingdom of the Elves and really our holiday could have been better. We were keen to see what a family self catering holiday at Bluestone was like outside of the festive season and now that the children were older.

The Place Aparthotel – Manchester Review

Along with my two friends, Sarah from Life With Munchers and Steph from Mental Parentals, I’d been looking into accommodation in Manchester city centre for a weekend away. We had a few things in mind but none of us knew Manchester very well.

All we wanted was somewhere for two nights where at least three of us could sleep, somewhere with our own cooking facilities, parking and close to the city centre. We looked everywhere before booking a two bedroom apartment at The Place Aparthotel.
