Living Arrows

Living Arrows is a weekly linky celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky. Here are all the posts so far in the series.

Living Arrows – 35/52

This week has been such a great week. Although I worked for three days, as a family we have managed to cram in so much to the rest of the week and Hubby has had a few days off work too. Thursday was LP’s 3rd Birthday and we spent the day at a local country park, followed by an ice cream treat in a local dessert parlour. We also had…

Living Arrows – 34/52

This week has been busy, busy, busy and for once it has come to a close with me feeling as though we have got the work/life balance completely right. This has been a pretty perfect week. The week started off with Hubby having the kids whilst I had a day at work, then we had a day long play date with LP’s best friend and her Mum before driving to…

Living Arrows – 33/52

This week’s Living Arrows photos are courtesy of Hubby’s phone. Hubby and I had our first weekend away without the children and add to that my working week and not doing anything that warranted the ‘big’ camera and it meant I just didn’t take any photos of the children this week. LP has spent the last few weeks being a kissy, cuddly little thing. She loves her blanket and loves…

Living Arrows – 32/52

This week has been a busy one with work, a day at Legoland, LP’s best friend’s Birthday party and a lot of housey stuff going on. Overall though it has been a great week and one that has had more family things compared to work which is definitely a great balance for us. LP and Little Man love to play, especially outside and they both love the slide. Little Man…

I have a series of photos for this week’s Living Arrows and for once each picture has both children in it. One thing that I loved from childhood, and that I seem to have passed onto the children is singing the ‘Ring A Roses’ song but when LP decided the other day that she would play Ring A Roses with Little Man after dinner I was glad my camera was…

Living Arrows – 30/52

This week has been full of work and not a huge amount of opportunity to take photos but looking back through my photos from the week I loved a moment I captured with both LP and Little Man – Every child loves to play with a ball and this may well be one of Little Man’s first experiences with a ball – He loved it, crawled to it, picked it…

Living Arrows – 29/52

This week has been pretty good for just a normal week. We went to Staunton Country Park on Monday, I took the children to Little Street on Tuesday, had a housey day with the paddling pool and lots of playing on Wednesday. I then worked Thursday/Friday/Saturday, spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday playing with the kids and all in all had a really nice week. I love weeks where I can…
