Living Arrows

Living Arrows is a weekly linky celebrating childhood. The project originally took its name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky. Here are all the posts so far in the series.

Living Arrows – 8/52

Another week and another Living Arrows. This week has absolutely flown by with playdates, movies, swimming, work and a visit to The Baby Show yesterday. The week has flown by and we have loved having LP at home but like all holidays it has gone too quickly and she’s now back at preschool. This week’s photos were taken on a morning at home where we played in the garden, enjoyed…

Living Arrows – 7/52

Another week has gone by but this week was a bit more of an exciting one with a day at the zoo on Monday. Just one day out makes the world of difference when your week is usually ruled by two sets of shifts and preschool. Admittedly, the rest of the week was full of work and preschool but we still managed to have a lot of playing, a lot…

Living Arrows – 6/52

How are we six weeks into the year already? Another week gone and now February is well underway. This week has been another week of lazy days and not doing much as we’re still getting over our various bugs and trying no to spread those germs either! Well this week has been one tinged with sickness. Apart from our usual teething hell we spent two evenings/nights with Little Man being sick in his bed and having to sleep in the travel cot as it was so bad. He is thankfully over that now but the teething persists and I unfortunately must have caught whatever he had as I was up all night Friday being sick and have…

Living Arrows – 4/52

This week has been anything but an ordinary one although for the children it was the same as most other weeks – except I flew to Manchester for a girly weekend and left the children home with Daddy – they had a great time! The week was full of work, preschool, playing and even a play date with the lovely Amy from 2 Boys 1 Mum. We had a really…

Living Arrows – 3/52

Another week and another Living Arrows. This week has been a pretty ordinary one – preschool, swimming, work. The weekend was action packed but the week was definitely a normal one! LP loves thinking of new games to play but also loves the classics. On Saturday she spent literally an hour twirling around on a swivel chair until she was hiding on it and then jumped out saying ‘Boo!’. This…

Living Arrows – 2/52

This week has been a busy one with LP back at preschool and swimming lessons and Hubby back at work. We are now very much into our ‘every day is different’ routine and although I can’t say we’re all enjoying the early get ups again we are used to it and it’s the way it will be until our next set of school holidays. I’ve worked three days this week,…
