We live just down the road from Wellington Country Park and have always intended to visit but never really got around to it. We decided that we’d go for LP’s Birthday if the weather was ok and thankfully on the day it was cloudy but dry by the time we got ready to leave home.
Days Out
Legoland Windsor with a Toddler and Baby
Disclosure: We were invited on this day out for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.
Legoland Windsor Resort is somewhere Dave and I had always wanted to take the children to. It’s one of those places we didn’t bother to go to before having kids but both of us have always lived fairly close to Legoland and when we were offered tickets to go to the theme parks we knew that LP would love it – and that we would too! We had always heard so many good things about Legoland Windsor and couldn’t wait to experience it for ourselves. So here’s our experience with a little ones – a three year old and a baby.
A Day at London Zoo with a Baby and Toddler
Disclosure: We were invited on this day out for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.
We were invited to the Xeno toy launch at ZSL London Zoo and after the launch we spent the day wandering around the Zoo. It’s somewhere I hadn’t been since I was very small and somewhere I had wanted an excuse to visit. I didn’t realise that London Zoo has a huge car park and is outside of the congestion charging zone so it made sense for us to drive rather than struggle with two children and a pushchair on the train – Only £14.50 for parking for the day too – a great price for a day’s parking in central London.
A Day at Moors Valley Country Park Dorset Review
We had a little holiday in the New Forest at the start of June and on our way home we stopped off at Moors Valley Country Park in Ashley Heath near Ringwood Dorset. This is somewhere I’d heard a lot about from other bloggers and somewhere I couldn’t wait to visit.
Trebah Gardens, Cornwall with a Baby and Toddler
When we were in Cornwall for a family holiday we visited somewhere that I hadn’t even heard of before, Trebah Gardens near Mawnan Smith in Falmouth. I didn’t know much about Trebah except that it was gardens, water features and a private beach all in one. It looked like the perfect day out!
Little Street Frimley, Surrey Review
A new children’s attraction opened up near to us a few weeks ago and as soon as I heard of it I couldn’t wait to take LP and Little Man as soon as I had a free day off work. Since then it’s turned into one of our favourite places to spend time in Surrey.
Staunton Country Park Review Hampshire
We always like to visit somewhere new and as we had a day off work together as a family we decided to go off and explore somewhere we hadn’t been before. Staunton Country Park is near Portsmouth, Hampshire and just under an hour away from us. Children under three are free and adults are £7.50. Parking costs £2 but this is refunded off the ticket price.
London Designer Outlet Review
We love outlet shopping and have our favourites to drive to for a day out – McArthur Glen in Swindon, Bicester Village near Oxford and Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth. We were meant to be going to the beach a few days ago but the weather wasn’t looking great so we thought we’d go somewhere new and ventured to the London Designer Outlet centre in London Wembley Park.
Woburn Safari Park Review
Last week we went on a little day out to Woburn Safari Park, near Milton Keynes. We had some Tesco vouchers to use up and love a trip to the zoo so decided to use them for a wildlife park day – and booked safari park tickets! It’s about an hour away from us and we hadn’t been since before kids and so we thought it would be a nice family day out.
A Day in Worthing with Kids
Last week I went on a bit of an adventure and drove all the way to Worthing in West Sussex to meet up with Lauren from Belle du Brighton and her beautiful daughter. It was about an hour and twenty minutes and I got to drive my new car on it’s very first outing, and even managed to park it. I was quite proud of myself!
