Britmums, Mince Pies and Greys Anatomy #LittleLoves

What a week! I was still getting over Blog On when Britmums Live came around and I have spent this week mainly ploughing through work to (hopefully) have a day or two off next week as it’s my Birthday on Tuesday.

Here are a few things we’ve been loving this week:

After Britmums Live last weekend I mostly spent the first few days of this week reading posts about the event, reading through the old agendas and writing my own post about Britmums Live as it’s changed through the years. I won’t lie – this year’s Britmums Live left me feeling sad. Although I saw so many lovely people and had a really good catch up with many – it was far too much money to spend on a social event and really I just missed the Britmums Live of years gone by.

I started watching Greys Anatomy this week as I’ve never seen it before but I’m loving it so far. The medical side of it is quite interesting and the characters are great – I also love that there are so many seasons of it all ready for me to watch!

When I was in town yesterday I walked out of a shop as Newton Faulkner’s Dream Catch Me was playing. I haven’t heard it in such a long time and it’s such an uplifting song – I walked down the street happier for hearing it and with it still in my head hours later.

The children insisted that we make Mince Pies for our bake of the week this week – and who was I to say no?! So, we made them – and loved them! They turned out so well and were so easy to make too. The children really enjoyed it.

I also made chocolate parfaits as part of a blog collaboration – they were so good, so simple to make and I even made a video of it:

Absolutely nothing of interest! I know, fail again.. This is always my hardest section each week!

and lastly…

We are spending this weekend at home with no real plans apart from a birthday party and a short trip to a National Trust. After a busy couple of weekends full of blogging conferences I cannot wait for a slower pace and time with my favourite people.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

I was so sad to be ill and have missed both BlogON speaking and Britmums although reading what you thought glad I missed it. There is never enough hours in the day is there? You sound so so busy too girl. WOW! Happy Birthday too! Hope you get it all caught up so you can take that deserved time off.

I hope you wore something this week Donna! My hardest section is without a doubt ‘made’ – we should collaborate!! Mince Pies…yummy. I can’t wait to delve into those but it does feel a little early. We have all the birthdays here first. Haven’t listened to Newton Faulkner for ages. I love him too. xx
