Review: Rubbabu Balls from Bigjigs Toys

As part of our role as Bigjigs Play Patrol we get to try out toys, and brands, that we haven’t experienced before. This month we were sent the Rubbabu Balls which are part of Rubbabu’s fantastic range of tactile, bendable toys that are perfect from birth onwards.

The Rubbabu Balls come in a set of three but can also be purchased separately. They all have a really lovely soft finish to them and have different indentations and patterns on them, as well as being different colours. The variety makes them really appealing – even to adults – as they would make amazing stress balls!

LP and Little Man, although three and four, loved these balls immediately. They bounce really well on any surface and the patterns make them bounce in different directions. The children don’t really have balls – apart from large garden ones – and so they were immediately drawn to these balls.

Basic bouncy balls have so much play value and the added aspects of the Rubbabu Balls give them even more play value too. These balls can be used to play games, to chase and catch but then can also be used from the early month’s of a child’s life, helping them to learn to focus or grip, something to crawl after or chase.

Until now I hadn’t heard of Rubbabu but now I wish I had known about them when the children were small. These would be fantastic first toys – as would most of the Rubbabu range – but they also have such longevity, with LP and Little Man showing real interest in the Rubbabu Balls even now.

LP and Little Man love the Rubbabu Balls and I will definitely be buying more Rubbabu toys in the future. They’re also a brand I would look at when buying presents for babies and first Birthday presents too. It’s not often you find toys that can span such a great age range and Rubbabu do just that.

The Rubbabu Balls have an RRP of £5.49

My two love a ball as well, although it’s a little different to separate dog balls and children’s balls and I think something like this would get consumed quite quickly by the dog in our house!
