If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I have now spent the last two weeks following the #SlimFastChallenge. I’ll be writing up about that in more detail in a few days but for now I’ll give a mini update. This week was a lot easier than the first week. I think my body had got used to the change in my diet and so I could deal with the types and amounts of food I could eat a lot better. I had less hungry times and enjoyed the Slim Fast plan a lot more this week – so much so that I am considering doing it going forward just on a looser basis.
Like last week I had a slight blip this week as we went out yesterday for a restaurant review. It could have been worse though – I only had one course and then an ice cream in the park. Mainly because I was so stuffed after the one course – my eating habits have definitely changed and that can only be a good thing. Also, I ordered a salad. If you know me in real life you will know this is unheard of!
I’ve been running again this week and am loving getting back outside. I think I’ve only been once though as Hubby has been working evenings and nights this week making finding time to run when I have childcare almost impossible. This coming week will be better though as Hubby has a few days off when, despite me being at work those days, I’ll be able to run in the evening.
So how did this week go? I have lost another 2lb. That makes a total loss of 6lb over the two weeks. I expected to lose less this week as I know with all diet plans you lose the most in the first week but I’m pleased with how the two weeks have gone. My clothes fit better, my diet is better and I’m happier with how I look – all from shifting a few pounds. Now I just need to lose a little bit more! But it does mean that I am back at my Weight Watchers goal weight and the lowest weight I have been in years. That is a good feeling.
