I’ve got to the point where there is always slow cooker fudge in our fridge. It’s something I love to make, I love to create new flavour combinations and I love to give little batches of it to friends to let them know I’m thinking of them. Slow cooker fudges have become my favourite slow cooker recipes and one I am always varying to create new and exciting versions. My favourite fudge recipes are the ones using traditional flavour combinations – and he latest is Cherry Bakewell Fudge.

I love cake. It’s something I enjoy all year round and I’m trying to create more seasonal bakes that we can enjoy through the year. A couple of weeks ago we made Lemon Bakewell Tarts and we loved it so much that I thought I’d make some more lemon recipes – and our Lemon Bakewell Slice was created!

I love a Bakewell Tart. They’re a favourite bake of mine not just to make at home but also to buy at cafes. The combination of pastry, frangipane sponge and jam makes for the perfect cake and over the last few months I’ve been playing around with Bakewell flavours at home too.

I love finding alternative ways to use mincemeat over the festive season and although I love classic Christmas mince pies it’s nice to have something a little different too. This year I thought I’d create a festive twist on a traditional cherry Bakewell Tart and although I’m no Mary Berry these may be the best thing I have ever created! It definitely makes a change from our usual slow cooker recipes.

A Bakewell Tart is such a classic British recipe that I thought I’d try baking with a festive twist using Christmas jam instead of traditional raspberry jam for a lovely festive twist with this Festive Bakewell Tart. I thought this would be a great alternative to mince pies but if you’d rather, you can use normal jam for a classic bake like a traditional bakewell tart from Bakewell or you could even use mincemeat for a real festive taste.

We have made so many slow cooker recipes over the years and despite making dozens of things using mincemeat each year I had never thought to make slow cooker mincemeat – until now. I realised just how easy this recipe could be and thought I’d give it a whirl – and it turned out pretty good!

After making Terry’s Chocolate Orange Fudge for Christmas last year and then a Dark Terry’s Chocolate Orange Fudge it felt only right that I should also make a White Terry’s Chocolate Orange Fudge too. All these recipes taste just like their chocolate orange namesakes and are fantastic for sharing over the festive season.

I’ve been working through slow cooker fudge recipes based around popular chocolate brands but I thought I’d give other confectionary a try. One of the most iconic sweets are Swizzels Matlow Love Hearts and so this is the first sweetie fudge I tried – and it works really well.

Any regular reader will know that I love finding alternative ways to use mincemeat and my latest creation is this mincemeat slice tray bake. It has all the flavours of Christmas mince pies but feels like a much more decadent bake and makes a nice change from making mince pies over the festive season.
