5 Ways To Make Extra Cash

There are times where everyone needs to make some extra money – A new baby on the way, moving house, an unexpected bill to pay, Christmas… The list is endless and when it comes down to it most of us would love extra cash every now and again. Here are a few of my top tips on how to make some extra money when you need it.

eBay – Good old eBay! You can pretty much sell everything on eBay if you’re prepared to pay the fees, don’t mind packaging things up and sending them off or having someone collect something from you house. I’ve written posts previously about how to get the best from eBay and a little guide to eBay postage.

Mystery Shopping – This is something I have always done to make a little extra cash or just have a free meal! It’s something you can sign up to and then not actually use until you have the time or need the money. I wrote a longer post about it here.

Pawnbrokers – Pawnbrokers are a great way of getting on the spot cash – You take in your old jewellery, electricals or anything else of value and they give you money for it. This saves time using alternative methods of selling and gives you a guaranteed price for the item.

Cashback Sites – I am a huge fan of Quidco and make sure I click through from their website every time I shop online. If you do this regularly enough you can have regular cash dripping into your bank account on a monthly basis.

Money Back on Grocery Shopping – The weekly food shop is one thing that I have never really been able to reduce the cost of so instead I use sites like Checkout Smart to get a little bit reimbursed every time I shop and I have signed up with Shop and Scan which pays me in gift vouchers every time I upload my shopping barcodes and receipts to their site.

None of these ideas are get rich quick schemes but they can all give you a small amount of money and quite often this can be regular too! Do you have any ways that you make extra cash? I’d love to hear about them!
