Review: Welcome to The Furchester Hotel DVD

LP and Little Man love getting new TV shows to watch on DVD – especially as we have DVD players in the car – and their newest DVD is Welcome to The Furchester Hotel, a series that they hadn’t watched much before the DVD arrived.

Welcome to The Furchester Hotel lets children laugh and learn with loveable friends like Elmo and Cookie Monster who are on an extended holiday to the UK from Sesame Street. Viewers meet Elmo’s Aunt Funella, Uncle Furgus and cousin Phoebe in their ‘almost’ world-class hotel as they all solve the many problems their guests bring to the hotel.

Welcome to the Furchester Hotel is the first DVD of the series and features six episodes from the CBeebies show. The Furchester Hotel is a series aimed at 3 to 6-year-olds and is set in a basic hotel run by a close-knit family of cheerfully chaotic monsters. The series is designed to encourage creative problem-solving and LP and Little Man love to watch the show, talking along with the characters and helping them make the right decisions whilst watching along. They really enjoy the many songs from the show and I know they will now want to watch The Furchester Hotel when it’s on the TV too!

I was a huge fan of Sesame Street when I was younger and think that through The Furchester Hotel LP and Little Man have found their own love of the Sesame Street characters and their friends.

Welcome to the Furchester Hotel has an RRP of £6.99

Disclosure: We were sent the above DVD for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

  1. My 3 year old daughter loves quite a lot, my favourite character is Bing bunny, he teaches them manners etc, and my daughter’s face lights up when she realises he’s on xxx
