Give your Children a Library at their Fingertips with eBookadabra

*This is a collaborative post

LP and Little Man have always had a love of reading. We have read with them daily since they were tiny and now that LP is learning to read she will often read books to us, at bedtime, in the car or whenever she has the urge to read.

But, even with a house full of books, LP is always looking for more to read. She has a thirst for books that even regular trips to the library can’t fix and when we go away for weekends she seems to want to take her whole bookshelf with her.

So when eBookadabra got in contact and asked if we’d like to review their app it looked like the perfect thing to keep LP and Little Man happy where books are concerned. eBookadabra contains hundreds of books in one app, making sure that the children always have something new to read.

Review: Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa

When we went to Wales to visit The Royal Mint Experience, we stayed at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa for the night. I didn’t know much about the hotel before we arrived but we were able to park underneath the hotel, with plenty of availability for just £12 for the night and checked in easily.

The hotel was beautiful, still decorated for Christmas and with plenty of places to sit and relax. The whole hotel had a really welcoming feel and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had a Junior Penthouse Suite for the night, on the top floor, and when we got to it we were so impressed with the size.

Review: The Royal Mint Experience

We finished off the Christmas holidays with a trip into Wales to visit The Royal Mint Experience just outside of Cardiff. Last year was the first time The Royal Mint had opened it’s doors to the public and so we were excited to go and see how all of our sterling coins are made.

The experience is easy to find and well signposted. There’s plenty of parking and there’s just a short walk from the car park to the entrance and everything is well accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The experience is free for the under fives and comprises a guided tour and an interactive exhibition.

Books {2016}

As part of my 2016 Bucket List I promised to read a book a month. Now, I’m not going to lie – I haven’t read a book every month through the year. But, I’ve read more than twelve books through the year so I think I have done a good job.

To put this into perspective, in 2015 I aimed to read just one book through the year. I used to read so much and it was my way of starting to read again. But this year I have made a huge improvement on the reading front so thought I would share with you the books I have read throughout 2016.

Gin Explorer Review and Giveaway

Anyone who knows me will know how much I love gin. It’s been my drink of choice for years and whether drinking socially in the evening, out with friends or at a summer garden party it is always the drink I go for.

I also love a subscription box so when Gin Explorer got in contact I couldn’t have thought of a more perfect combination for me – a monthly subscription box of gin! Gin Explorer sent me their December box to see for myself what their great idea is actually like.
