I love a recipe box. There is something so lovely about having everything you need for meals delivered right to your door and when I found out about WW Smart Kitchen I couldn’t wait to try it. The thing that makes WW Smart Kitchen different from other recipe boxes is that it’s a partnership between Bearfaced Groceries and Weight Watcher, offering a great range of fresh food accompanied by recipe cards, all with clear calories and Smart Points so you know exactly what you’re eating.
WW Smart Kitchen comes well packaged and includes ice packs so that everything arrives ready to just be popped in the fridge. There’s a choice of three or five meals per box and with each meal to feed two or four people – we were sent a three meal box for four people to review so that we could still cook one meal each evening to enjoy as a family.

With Mothers Day coming up I’ve been scouring the internet for the perfect gift for my lovely Mother in Law – as well as looking for things that I might like myself – and I came across Pia, a jewellery brand that I hadn’t heard of before. I immediately loved their beautiful product range and when they asked if I’d like to review a set of jewellery with Mothers Day in mind I couldn’t wait to receive it.
Pia sent me the Faceted Rose Quartz collection which included three separate, individually gift boxed pieces – a ring, earrings and a necklace. The Pia gift boxes are beautiful and they ensure that the jewellery arrives as safely as possible and in beautiful condition.

It’s been well documented on this blog – and across social media – that my Husband and I love gin. It’s our drink of choice and as much as we enjoy drinking gin based cocktails you really cannot beat a classic gin and tonic. We love finding new gins to try so when we were sent a bottle of Rock Rose Premium Scottish Gin to try we couldn’t wait to get pouring!
The Rock Rose Premium Scottish Gin is made at the Dunnet Bay Distillers in Scotland and the first batch was only distilled in August 2014 – so it’s still pretty new as far as gin is concerned. The distillery experimented with botanicals to find just the right blend and ended up with a mix of juniper berries, rhodiola rosea, sea buckthorn, rowan berries and a few other things to make a taste that is fresh and zesty, full of berries and wonderfully smooth to drink.

LP and Little Man love anything creative – they paint, colour and draw pretty much constantly. Every day involves something arty and so when we were sent PlayMais to try out they couldn’t wait to get going and create something bright and colourful!
PlayMais is unlike anything we have used before. It comes as one box of materials and some activity cards to get started. The materials look like brightly coloured packing beads and I wondered how we would create anything using them. But PlayMais are so simple to use that you don’t need much creative ability to get going.

Anyone who reads this blog regularly or follows me on social media will know that we have spent the last few months having an extension built and although I am quite a laid back person there have been times where it’s all got a bit much – especially the never ending dust.
By the time the building work was coming to an end we knew that we needed help with the cleaning. Hubby and I had very little energy left and the extension, although beautiful, had so much that needed to be cleaned. It had plaster splattered everywhere, sawdust on the floor and just dust in every space imaginable. The lounge wasn’t much better – with the TV, toys and every surface caked in dust.
