Review: Stacks of Flavour Garden Planter

Anyone will know how much I love our garden and how it has been a constant labour of love since we moved into the house five years ago. I am constantly looking for things to make it prettier, little additions that don’t take much effort and things to add a bit of us to the garden.

Stacks of Flavour offered to sent us one of their garden planters and we chose the Over The Rainbow Crate. The crate could be personalised with any message – and the personalisation could be across all three wooden slats for longer messages. I chose to have ‘The Wishart Family’ written on the crate and it fits our garden perfectly.

The Over The Rainbow Crate comes complete with three packs of seeds and a liner to make the crate into the perfect planter. The seeds can be used to grow beetroot, chard and carrots to give a great rainbow range of vegetables. Unfortunately the sowing period for the seeds is only until July so rather than risk growing the seeds now I’m going to save them until the start of next season to add some colour to the garden after the winter.

For now, the planter can be used for any host of ideas – garden storage, fruit and veg storage in the kitchen, a magazine rack or anything else. But next year it will be firmly filled and taking pride of place in our garden outside the back door, ready for picking. The height means that the children will be able to get involved too!

The crate is really well made, reinforced and with handles to make moving it from place to place simple. I’m really impressed with the whole Over The Rainbow Crate package and think it would make a wonderful gift – especially with the personalisation.

The Over the Rainbow Crate has an RRP of £32.00
