I have spent a good chunk of this year following the SlimFast 3-2-1 plan and I love it. It’s a great way to have a kick start to weight loss and get you into the habit of eating smaller portion sizes. Not that Christmas is out of the way I, like many others, will be looking to lose some weight and SlimFast is perfect for that.

SlimFast introduced their 7 Day Starter Kit last year and I was lucky enough to review the set. It contains enough snacks, shakes and meal replacement bars for 7 days as well as a handy meal plan and information guide that you can follow to create your under 600kcal evening meals too.

  1. I’d have my favourite salsa chicken with low fat cheese, salad and new potatoes. I’d have to work out the calories properly but I think it’s around 600 calories

  2. I was on the 3-2-1 with slim fast last year before i got pregnant and loved it! it was the first programme like this that i did not feel like i was being starved to death and felt full! i was doing really well and intend to go back on it after baby arrives in Feb!

    My favourite recipe was the pork meatballs for the 600 cal meal … i love to make it even now!

  3. I would probably have something that tastes naughtier than it is – I love making my own fajita fillings and having them with fat free yogurt instead of sour cream. Tastes indulgent but isn’t! 🙂

  4. I have used MFP quite a lot and found that really good, but would love a kick start with Slim Fast. Under 600 cal meals I’ve used have been jacket potatoes with beans, or the M&S count on us range – love the veggie mousakka.

  5. Pasta and pesto with lots of salad. I’m not good at picking something to make from suggestions, I want to do my own thing. So I would weigh a sensible portion of pasta first.

  6. I love the Hot ‘n’ Happy Smoked Salmon Kedgeree recipe on the slimfast website it’s 605 calories but I’m sure the extra 5 won’t hurt

  7. 5 oz Chicken Breast, 1/2 cup of Brown Rice, 2 cups of mixed Vegetables, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and some almonds.
