I have been trying to put a good skincare routine in place ever since my 30th Birthday last year but had no idea of what products I would need, which I should use or whether they would suit my skin type. Because of this, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a lot of full size products that may not be right for me so when Pure Beauty got in touch to see if I’d like to try some of their skincare products it seemed like a good opportunity to find products that were right for me.
In order to try out as much of the Pure Beauty ranges as possible I chose to review two Dermalogica skincare sets – the Dermalogica Skin Kit and the Dermalogica Favourites Kit. The Favourites Kit is aimed mostly at facial skincare whereas the Skin Kit is aimed at full body skincare so it gave me a chance to test so many products in one go.
The Dermalogica Favourites Kit contains Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, Dermalogica Multi Active Toner, Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster, Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque and Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm all in travel and trial sizes.
My favourite product from this set is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant as I love the feeling of my skin when it’s been exfoliated and as this is gentle enough for everyday use it keeps my skin feeling soft and looking clear and healthy.
I have never used a face masque before but the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque was simple to put on and washed off easily. I used it when I was having a bath, putting it on before I got in and washing off after fifteen minutes. It left my face feeling so much more moisturised and soft.
The Dermalogica Skin Kit contained Dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash, Dermalogica Exfoliating Body Scrub, Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream, Dermalogica Climate Control Lip Treatment and Dermalogica Hydro-Active Mineral Salts all in travel or trial sizes.
I am used to using body washes, body scrubs and moisturisers so these products fit seamlessly into my daily routine. They all smelt lovely, worked well and left my skin feeling lovely with no greasiness or build up of products. Through using both sets my skin felt lovely and refreshed and it was great to have products for my whole body that complimented each other and worked well together.
Overall the Dermalogica sets let me try a different brand of products I was familiar with and some that I had never tried before. The whole set was suitable for all skin types and contained everything you would need to start a goo skincare routine and to make sure that Dermalogica products worked well with your skin. The two kits would make great gifts but they would also be a great investment if you were looking to try a new brand of skincare.
The Dermalogica Favourites Kit has an RRP of £55.00 and the Dermalogica Skin Kit has an RRP of £26.35
