Review: Wanna Pizza This Pizza Making Kit

I had been looking everywhere for an apron and chef’s hat for LP and in my search I came across Wanna Pizza This who produce Pizza Making Kits, Pizza Bases, Pizza Sauces and lots more. Wanna Pizza This is a fairly new company so their product ranges are always expanding and developing and I have been lucky enough to be sent one of their Full Pizza Baking Kits to review and they are also letting me run a competition for one lucky reader to win a kit as well!

The Full Pizza Baking Kit includes a bag of pre-mixed flour (enough for one 9 inch pizza or 2 mini pizzas), a pot of pizza sauce, a mini wooden spoon, a mini rolling pin, mixing bowl, a pizza tray, a kids apron and chef’s hat as well as full cooking instructions. My first thoughts were that this set looked an absolute bargain for £10.50. When we opened the bag of goodies up there was also a little thank you chocolate and the instructions were tied with ribbon – Lovely touches!

Hubby and I have always loved making pizzas and it’s something we do at least once a month but until now it’s not something we’ve involved LP in. LP knows what pizza is and has watched us make a pizza from scratch before but having this kit is the first time we have thought to make a pizza with LP.

After dressing LP up in her lovely new apron and hat we were ready to start cooking! The Wanna Pizza This instructions were easy to follow and the pre-mixed flour pack was just the right amount to make one lovely thin pizza. LP had a great time mixing everything and rolling the dough out – With a little help! All we had to do was add a little oil and water and get mixing. The wooden spoon and rolling pin are really well made and the perfect size for little hands.

The sauce was easy to spread and again just the right amount. The kit does state that the sauce needs to be used within 3 days or can be frozen if the kit isn’t going to be used immediately but we used it within the three days. LP loved putting toppings on the pizza although I think she ate more cheese than she sprinkled on the pizza base!

The pizza turned out lovely and was well received by LP who was excited to be eating something she’d made herself. We really enjoyed using the Wanna Pizza This kit and it gave us really quality family time in the kitchen with LP doing something we probably wouldn’t have thought to do otherwise.

The great thing about this kit is that after making the pizza, your child has the hat and apron as well as the other cooking things to help you in the kitchen next time – Or they can be great additions to any play kitchen. The Wanna Pizza This Full Baking Kit is a great idea at a great price!

Disclosure: We were sent the above kit for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

  1. i know it sounds weird but I have a concoction called tunapple surprise which is tuna mayo, pineapple, hotdogs and cheese, it is really lush haha 🙂

  2. my favourite topping is vegetarian with lots of onions and peppers .sometimes a do like to add ham but veggie is always the safe option esp when buying takeaway (im fussy when it comes to meat lol )

  3. I’m a very pernickety eater & have barbecue sauce, mozzarella cheese & mushrooms – very bland and boring to most but I like it!

  4. I only tried this the other day and never even heard of it before it was lush, crispy duck, hoisin sauce even had cucumber and spring onions on it. Try it the best pizza ever!
