Review: Tomy Tap n Toddle Elephant

Little Man loves getting new toys and wanted me to take the Tomy Tap n Toddler Elephant out of the box as soon as it arrived. It was already in demo mode and so Little Man could hear the circus style noises coming from the toy and got very excited!

After taking the Tomy Tap n Toddle Elephant from the packaging I saw that there were two different play modes as well as the demo mode and a welcome ‘off’ mode – The music is very lively and happy although it does get very loud and repetitive after a while – Little Man loved it but there were times I had to turn it off.

With the Tomy Tap n Toddle Elephant the idea is that Little Man taps it on the head and it then laughs and sings as it rolls one way and then another whilst he tries to get it. Because he’s a little older than the recommended 6 months+ he liked to grab the elephant and hug it whilst listening to it sing but this would be great for young babies as it would give them encouragement to move and crawl after the elephant.

The boomerang feature on Tomy Tap n Toddle Elephant makes it come back to the starting point after you tap it’s head which is great for immobile babies and I think all children would love the musical aspects of this toy.

The Tomy Tap n Toddler Elephant is a great toy to grow with a child, from before they can crawl right through until they are just learning to walk. This would make a great first Christmas present, it’s just a shame it doesn’t have a volume control!

The Tomy Tap n Toddle Elephant has an RRP of £18.99
