I love trying new toiletries for both the children and I so I was excited when Seascape got in contact to see if I wanted to review a few of their products. Seascape products are all created using locally sourced ingredients in Jersey and each range includes natural essential oils the add fragrance and have many therapeutic benefits.
I was sent the Seascape Soothe Sleep Oil which promises to help relax and calm before aiding a peaceful night’s sleep. It contains 100% natural lavender oil to relax and calm, as well as the oils from Grape Seed, Sweet Almond, Bitter Orange Flower and Mandarin Orange Peel to balance the mind and deliver a gentle fragrance whilst containing no parabens, no silicones, no SLS, no petroleum, no artificial colours, no artificial fragrances.
Because I have two small children I don’t always sleep very well – not because I am not relaxed but because the children often don’t sleep through the night or are restless when they’re asleep. I started to add the Sleep Oil to my temples before bed and found that it helped me to switch off a bit quicker when I was laying in bed at night. The fragrance is one that I automatically find relaxing. I think that if I didn’t have restless children the Sleep Oil would have made for a very relaxing night’s sleep.
We were then sent two different products to use with the children, Les Petits Hair and Body Wash and Les Petits Body Lotion. I try to use different products with the children whenever I get a chance and it was nice to try something new.
The Seascape Les Petits Hair and Body Wash replaced our previous shampoo with the added benefit of being able to wash Little Man and LP’s bodies with it as well. It smelt lovely and we found that a little bit went a long way, lathering easily and working well. One benefit of this product is the cap – you press it down to open it which can easily be done one handed, a huge plus point on children’s toiletries.
I love to use body lotion on LP after swimming and had been put off by the hundreds of ‘baby lotion’ products available for children, none of which seemed to be relevant to a preschooler. It was nice to see that the Les Petits Body Lotion looked just like an adult version with no mention of babies and yet formulated for children. The lotion absorbed well and not much was needed. LP’s skin wasn’t left greasy or overly moist and the lotion being in a pump action bottle made it really easy to dispense.
All the Seascape Les Petits products are dermatologically tested and gently formulated for babies and children with sensitive skin and all products are mild enough for everyday use and are paraben, silicone, petroleum and sulphate free with no artificial colours or fragrances.
Seascape are a completely new brand to me – I hadn’t heard of them prior to this review but all of their products come in boxes that would make them great gifts and show what quality products they are whilst still being as natural as possible. I will definitely be shopping with them in the future.
The Seascape Les Petits products have an RRP of £12 each and the Sleep Oil has an RRP of £10
Disclosure: We were sent the above products for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
